Knowing Jesus vs Knowing About Him
There is a profound difference between knowing Jesus personally and merely knowing about Him. Many people are familiar with Jesus in a historical or cultural sense—they know His teachings, His role in Christianity, and perhaps even some of the miracles attributed to Him.
However, knowing about someone is not the same as having a relationship with them. To know Jesus is to connect with Him on a deeper, personal level, experiencing His love, grace, and guidance in your life. It involves faith, trust, and a commitment to follow Him, rather than simply acknowledging facts or stories.
In contrast, knowing about Him can remain surface-level, a collection of knowledge without the transformative power that comes from truly walking with Him. The question to reflect upon is: do you simply know of Jesus, or do you truly know Him? One leads to information, while the other leads to transformation.
Mark 11:23.
